Fundraising So Far – November 2015

In June 2014 we celebrated the completion of Phase 1 of the transformation of our building into a modern community hub. We now have a large community hall, small meeting room, catering facilities, and an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities at street level. We are delighted that the building is being used by groups from across the community for different events and activities, bringing people together, learning new skills and having fun.

Phase 2 will make both levels of the building fully accessible, modernise the lower hall and provide downstairs toilets. This will further enhance our ability to provide accommodation and facilities for individuals, community groups, public events and make the building a resource for all.
So far we have raised enough to proceed with a new entrance, lift and lower community hall. We are grateful to all those who have supported our fundraising effort. Our final target is to raise £42,000 to install modern toilets on the lower level of the building. Once transformed, the building will be comfortable, modern and environmentally friendly for use by the whole community, seven days a week, throughout the year.
